Your privacy is very important to us at Faceb.com. This Privacy Policy document outlines what data Faceb.com receives and how we store, manage, and protect it.

Logs

Faceb.com uses log files, which are files that record information including requested webpage resources, IP addresses, browser types, and timestamps. This information is used by Faceb.com for troubleshooting, service analysis, and site maintenance. An IP address can identify you indirectly, so we treat these logs as personal data. They are not joined to your account, and they are not linked to the video or audio you record. At most the IP address is used to tally that a recording was done, but not which; free use is limited to one recording per 24 hours and that tally expires after 24 hours. Access logs are kept for up to 14 days and are then deleted.

We use Clicky for website analytics, which receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you view in order to produce aggregate visit statistics. Apart from that, log files and any data therein are not shared with any third party, and are never sold.

Collected Information

Faceb.com stores a limited amount of information from your use of the site: your language and display preferences, any page rating you leave, and records of key actions such as viewing the pricing page or completing a purchase, which we use to measure how the service performs. A link you submit is held in your browser session only until your result page loads, and is discarded at that point; if you never return for it, it is removed when the session expires, at most 14 days later. Preferences are kept for the life of that session. Page ratings are stored together with the IP address they came from, so the same page cannot be rated twice from one visitor. If you have an account, these records are linked to it.

All information you enter is voluntary. Apart from the service providers described in this policy, none of this information is shared with any third party, and it is never sold.

Faceb.com does not collect personal information about you beyond what is described in this policy and what you choose to provide.

Cookies

Faceb.com stores your preferences in cookies. While these cookies improve your experience by remembering your settings, they're completely optional. All of Faceb.com's features and services work without cookies.

Cookies may be stored by third parties via third party content embedded in Faceb.com, like multimedia players and analytics. Faceb.com has no control over the cookies stored by third parties.

What we keep, and for how long

• Access logs — IP address, browser, page and time. Kept for 14 days, then deleted. Used for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.
• Session — your language preference, and a link you submit until your result page loads. Expires after at most 14 days.
• Rate-limit tally — a hash of your IP address and browser, so the free limit can be enforced. Expires after 24 hours.
• Page ratings — your rating and the page it applies to. The IP address recorded with it is erased after 90 days; the rating itself is kept.
• Usage events — which key pages you reached, such as pricing or checkout, linked to your account if you are signed in. Deleted after 12 months.
• Account — your email address, language and newsletter choices. Kept until you delete your account.
• Payments — amount, date, country, and the card brand, expiry and last four digits. Kept for accounting and refunds.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Authorize.Net. We never receive or store your full card number, and we do not keep your billing address — it is passed to the payment processor for fraud checks and is not retained by us.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To provide the service and carry out our agreement with you, covering your account and any purchase; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and understanding how it performs; and your consent for marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time from your newsletter settings or the unsubscribe link in any message.

Who else processes it

Clicky provides our website analytics and Authorize.Net processes payments; both act on our behalf. Our servers are located in the United States, so your information is processed there. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable form, object to processing we base on our legitimate interests, or withdraw your consent. Write to hello@faceb.com. We will respond as quickly as we can. If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the same rights of access and deletion, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.
